ADULT & STAFF NOTES
Surrounding Area
The nearest town to Lincolnsfields Centre is Watford, which is an excellent county shopping centre within 20 minutes walk. Watford has the renowned Harlequin Shopping Mall and a very good museum of local history.
There are a variety of local walks with interesting features including the River Colne, a canal walk and many more venues within easy reach.
Environmental Studies, Arts & Crafts
The Centre has its own classroom/study rooms equipped with relevant display material, allied to our animal collection, pond and woodland study area on site.
National Curriculum
Activities and facilities available at the centre can assist teachers in covering National Curriculum attainment targets in many topics for Key Stages 1 & 2 up to Level 5 and aspects of Key Stage 3 in some subjects. See the chart in the National Curriculum Study section for fuller details.
The Arts & Crafts room offers children the opportunity to work creatively with natural materials that they can collect or with other mediums provided. Special arts & crafts sessions can be arranged.
Farmyard Funworld
This is an interesting place to visit within our site, especially for 5–11 year olds. The animals in residence include ponies, goats, owls, rare breed poultry, pigs, sheep and rabbits. Handling sessions can be made available. Also we can arrange a "Close Encounters Session" with some 'creepy-crawlies'! There is an outside play area complete with wheel/push chair access.
We also have a souvenir / gift shop selling presents, sweets, ices and cold drinks.
Topsy Turvy World
This indoor adventure area offers children 4,000 square feet of non-stop energetic fun and can be booked for your group's exclusive use on either Saturday, Sunday or Monday evenings.
WW2 Activities Day A unique experience on a unique site — see our page for details.
