Community And Youth Groups Residential Visits for School Children

We have over 30 years' experience in providing residential visits for children from all backgrounds, and for a multitude of purposes from holidays and respite care to training and education. Our enthusiastic team is skilled in supporting the different needs of children and group leaders, including the disabled and disadvantaged.

The centre has been purpose built, new £1.4 million centre accommodates up to 70 children plus 7 staff in comfortable and pleasant roomsand. We considered input from past guests to ensure that we have not missed any important features.

Group leaders have individual rooms and the children stay in log cabin style dormitories. We have a large dining hall, two modern meeting room areas, a TV and games lounge, an arts and crafts room, a medical room and outdoor play areas. Full disabled access and facilities are available.

Programmes can be whatever mixture of learning and fun best suits each group. The options include nature studies and map work in our ancient woodland, pond and farmyard areas as well as indoor games and adventure play in purpose-built settings. Social interaction is a major focus, and children can learn to be both leaders and good team players.

Options include orienteering, sports in our sports hall, a treasure trail, a very large indoor adventure play area and much more. Evening activities can include a campfire with BBQ, quiz night, disco or Bingo—with a member of our team providing support if required. If you prefer to supervise your own activities, that's fine too.

You can print out the template — Design your own programme — and draft your own programme. We also recommend that you arrange a pre-visit so that you can see facilities at first hand and discuss your needs with our staff.
